How do I split a PDF into multiple files?
Add the PDF, click the scissors between pages wherever a new file should start, then press Split. Each part is saved as a PDF.

Separate PDF pages where you choose, every few pages, at bookmarks or by file size.
Free, with no sign-up and no watermark. Pages are copied exactly, never redrawn or shrunk.
Separate PDF pages into new files in three steps.
Drop a PDF on the box or choose it from your device. Every page appears as a numbered thumbnail you can open.
Click the scissors between two pages, split every few pages or at bookmarks, or choose pages from the PDF.
Press Split. Each part becomes its own PDF; download the files one at a time or all together in a ZIP.
A year of bank statements, a scanned stack of forms or a course pack with ten chapters is easier to share in parts. Splitting divides the PDF into pages or groups of pages, so each reader gets only the part meant for them.
Every page is copied as it is: text stays selectable, scans keep their full resolution and each page keeps its size and orientation. A part holds only its own pages, so it is usually far smaller than the original.
Split at bookmarks to get one file per chapter, named after the chapter. Bookmarks, links between pages and fillable form fields from the original may not carry over into the new files.
Gmail stops at 25 MB per message, Outlook at 20 MB, and many upload forms take 2 to 10 MB. Choose By size, type the largest file you can send and the PDF is split into as few parts as possible, each under that limit.
Pages stay whole and in order, and nothing is compressed. A single page larger than the limit gets a file of its own and you are told which one, so you can compress that part or send it another way.
Every page shows as a thumbnail, grouped into the files you will get. Open any page large to check.
Click the pages you want or type 1-3, 8. Save them as one new PDF, or as a separate PDF per page.
Turn every page into its own PDF in one go, or split every 2, 5 or 10 pages into equal files.
A new file starts at each top-level bookmark, and each file is named after its chapter or section.
Set a limit such as 10 MB and get the fewest parts that each fit under it. Handy for email or forms.
No account, no daily cap and no logo stamped on your pages. Large PDFs up to 250 MB are welcome too.
Every page is copied on your own device, start to finish.
Your PDF is read and cut into parts by code in this browser tab. Not one page is sent to a server.
The new files exist only in this tab until you save them. Close or refresh the page: they are gone.
No sign-up and no email address, and no limit on how many PDFs you split or how many parts you make.
Add the PDF, click the scissors between pages wherever a new file should start, then press Split. Each part is saved as a PDF.
Choose Every and keep it at 1 page per file, then press Split. Each page becomes a separate PDF, and all of them come in one ZIP.
Switch to Extract, click the pages you need or type them, like 2-4, 9, then press Extract. They are saved together in one new PDF.
Switch to Extract, click that page or type its number, then press Extract. You get a one-page PDF; the original stays as it was.
Click the scissors after the last page of the first half and press Split. To cut each page down the middle, crop the PDF instead.
