Pick a start and an end date. The days between them appear at once, with the same gap in weeks, months and years.
Business days leave out the weekend you choose. Add public holidays or days off and they are taken out as well.
Open Add or subtract, pick a date and type days, weeks, months or years. The new date shows with its weekday.
Open Add or subtract and press 90 days. The start date is already today, so the answer is the date 90 days from today and its weekday. The 30, 60 and 180 day buttons work the same way, for return windows, notice periods, free trials and visa stays.
Choose Subtract to count back instead, which makes this page a days ago calculator: 90 days ago from today, what date was 100 days ago, or the day a 14-day cooling-off period began. Any start date works, in the past or the future.
Years and months are added first, then weeks and days. When the start day does not exist in the new month, the last day of that month is used, so 31 January plus one month is 28 February, the same rule as the EDATE function in Excel.
A business day is a weekday that is not a public holiday, usually Monday to Friday. Every count of days between dates here also shows the business days, and the Weekend setting changes to Friday and Saturday or to Sunday only, to match where you work.
To count business days by hand, take the calendar days, subtract the weekend days, then subtract the holidays that fall on a weekday. Holiday lists differ by country and by employer, so add your own; a holiday that lands on a weekend is never taken off twice.
Deadlines set in business days run the other way. In Add or subtract, turn on Count business days only and type 10: counting starts the day after the start date, as banks and couriers count, and the answer is the tenth working day, past every weekend and holiday.

Usually Monday to Friday, leaving out public holidays. Where the weekend is Friday and Saturday, it is Sunday to Thursday.
Count the days and divide by 7. The result shows both, such as 90 days as 12 weeks and 6 days, so nothing is rounded off.
Whole months are counted from the start day, then the days left over: 15 January to 20 March is 2 months and 5 days.
Day of the year shows under each date: 10 October 2026 is day 283 of 365. In a leap year, days after 28 February move up one.
A year has 260 or 261 weekdays; 2026 and 2027 both have 261. Take away public holidays, often 8 to 11, for working days.
Type =B2-A2 or =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"d") for the days between. For business days, NETWORKDAYS counts both of the dates.
